As the oldest village, Brixen has given its name to the valley. Nestled in gentle grassy mountains with extensive alpine pastures, the charming village of Brixen im Thale is located in the middle of the Brixen Valley.

From the guesthouse, many attractions in Brixen can be reached in just a few minutes on foot or by car. In summer, Brixen im Thale has a leisure complex with an adventure swimming pool, bathing lake, beach volleyball court, Kneipp facility, tennis courts and an idyllic fishing pond for variety. The Filzalmsee on Hochbrixen has developed into a crowd puller, where there are many exciting opportunities for young and old to play and discover. The Filzalmsee is also the starting point for many wonderful alpine pasture and themed hikes, such as on or around the Hohe Salve.

The ski bus stop is only 230m away from the house and takes you directly to the ski lift of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental mountain railway, which offers you access to one of the largest ski areas in Austria. A real insider tip in winter is a winter hike to the Brixenbachalm, to which you can walk comfortably from the Oberleitner guesthouse and, after a snack, return just as comfortably by toboggan
